Beacon is in its founding phase. The IRS confirmed our 501(c)(3) public charity status in June 2026, effective 10 February 2026 (EIN 35-2944556). Governance documents are adopted and seed funding is in place. We are not yet accepting formal applications, but we are actively in conversation with prospective projects.

What to expect when applications open
Beacon will keep the application process lean. We want to understand your project well enough to assess fit, not front-load bureaucracy before we've established whether we can help.
We anticipate asking for:
- Project name and lead contact
- Brief description of the project
- GCR relevance statement (1–2 paragraphs)
- Requested services and estimated budget
- Anticipated timeline
